The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has released an updated list of 124 Nigerians identified for deportation as part of President Donald Trump’s intensified immigration enforcement programme.
According to a statement published by the DHS, the individuals are among foreign nationals arrested by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) during ongoing operations targeting people described as criminal foreign nationals.
The department said the deportation efforts are part of the Trump administration’s broader immigration policy, which prioritises the removal of individuals accused of committing criminal offences while residing in the United States.
The published list includes dozens of Nigerian nationals, among them Sunday Adediora, Marcus Unigwe, Boluwaji Akingunsoye, Ifeanyi Nwaozomudoh, Joshua Ineh, Usman Momoh, Kingsley Ariegwe, Okechukwu Okoronkwo, Chukwuemeka Okorie, Chima Orji, Olumide Bankole Morakinyo and many others.
While the names have been made public, the DHS did not disclose the specific offences, immigration violations or individual case details relating to those listed. The department also did not announce when the deportations would be carried out.
The latest action forms part of the Trump administration’s ongoing immigration crackdown, which has focused on increasing arrests and deportations of undocumented immigrants following President Trump’s return to office in January 2025.
