DisCos Collect N203.6bn in April

Electricity Distribution Companies (DisCos) generated N203.61 billion from customers in April 2026, according to the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).

In its latest Commercial Performance Factsheet, the commission revealed that the 11 DisCos billed consumers a total of N252.43 billion during the month and successfully recovered N203.61 billion, resulting in a collection efficiency of 80.66 percent.

The report also showed that the DisCos received electricity worth N302.96 billion, while billing efficiency stood at 83.32 percent, slightly lower than the previous month. Revenue recovery efficiency across the industry was recorded at 82.11 percent.

Among the electricity distributors, Eko DisCo emerged as the top performer with a revenue recovery efficiency of 102.09 percent, followed by Abuja DisCo at 89.77 percent and Ikeja DisCo at 88.89 percent.

The latest figures highlight steady improvements in revenue collection across Nigeria’s electricity distribution sector despite ongoing operational and market challenges.
