Air Peace has received approval from Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) to operate scheduled international flights to and from the South American country, marking another major step in the airline’s global expansion plans.
The authorisation allows the Nigerian carrier to run passenger, cargo and mail services between Brazil and destinations within its network, opening the door for direct air connectivity between Nigeria and Brazil.
The development comes as Air Peace continues to expand beyond Africa, with plans to launch additional routes across Europe, North America, the Middle East and other parts of the world.
In recent months, the airline has pursued landing rights for destinations such as Toronto and New York, while also preparing to resume flights to Jeddah and Guangzhou. It has also announced plans to begin operations to Manchester in the United Kingdom.
Closer to home, Air Peace recently unveiled new regional routes to Libreville, Conakry, Bamako and Douala, with services expected to begin in August.
The airline’s growing international network already includes London, Barbados and several West African cities, reinforcing its ambition to position itself as a leading African carrier with a wider global reach.
Industry observers say a direct Nigeria-Brazil route could strengthen trade, tourism and cultural ties between both countries.
