President Trump has become the third US President in history to be impeached. The House passed an article for impeachment which includes: abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
It is said that the next process is for the Senate to hold a trial to decide whether to convict Trump and remove him from office
After Trump was impeached by the house, questions on the time and scope of an anticipated Senate trial regarding his conduct toward Ukraine was raised.
House leaders suggested a possible delay until they can get a guarantee of a fair trial in the Senate.
