The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a 36-year-old woman, Anulika Onyeanusia, following the circulation of a disturbing video allegedly showing her sexually abusing a minor in Onitsha.
Police spokesperson SP Tochukwu Ikenga said the suspect was arrested on September 10, 2026, after operatives received information through open-source intelligence about the video, which had reportedly gained attention online.
According to the police, Onyeanusia denied the allegation and claimed that the videos were generated using artificial intelligence.
During the operation, officers reportedly rescued four children aged two, three, six and nine. Investigators also recovered sexual devices and other items considered relevant to the case.
The woman remains in police custody as authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding the alleged abuse and determine whether other individuals may have been involved.
Police are also questioning her husband as part of the investigation to establish whether he had any knowledge of or connection to the alleged offence.
