The Joint Task Force South-East, Operation Udoka, has declared Ifeanyi Eze Okorienta, popularly known as “Gentle The Yahoo,” wanted and announced a ₦30 million reward for information that leads to his arrest.
In a wanted notice issued by the task force, Okorienta was identified as a suspected threat to peace and security in the South-East, with residents urged to assist authorities by providing credible information on his whereabouts.
The military said anyone whose information directly contributes to his capture would be eligible for the ₦30 million reward.
The task force also appealed to members of the public to support ongoing efforts to tackle violence and criminal activities across the region, stressing its message of maintaining peace and security in the South-East.
Residents with relevant information were advised to contact the security authorities through 193 or 0806 795 9570. The task force assured informants that they could provide information anonymously.
Okorienta’s photograph was included in the wanted notice alongside messages urging residents to reject violence and criminality in the region.
The declaration comes as security agencies intensify operations across the South-East against individuals suspected of involvement in violent and other criminal activities.
Operation Udoka cautioned members of the public against attempting to apprehend or confront Okorienta themselves if they encounter him. Instead, residents were advised to immediately alert the appropriate security authorities through the designated channels.
