NFF Reportedly Secures $8.5 Million Annual Adidas Partnership From 2027

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has reportedly reached a new partnership agreement worth $8.5 million annually with German sportswear company Adidas, which is expected to become the official kit supplier for Nigeria’s national football teams from 2027.

Under the reported agreement, the NFF is expected to receive $4.5 million in annual cash payments, while Adidas will provide an additional $4 million worth of kits, apparel and equipment for the country’s various national teams.

The deal is also expected to give the federation a 20 per cent share of merchandise sales generated through Adidas’ retail network in Nigeria.

If finalised as reported, the agreement will bring an end to Nigeria’s current kit partnership with Nike, whose contract with the NFF is expected to run until the end of 2026.

Adidas previously served as a kit supplier for Nigeria’s national teams before Nike took over the partnership in 2015.

The proposed return of Adidas is being viewed as a potentially significant commercial development for Nigerian football. The additional financial resources and equipment support could strengthen the federation’s ability to provide for the needs of the Super Eagles, Super Falcons and the country’s youth national teams.

Beyond supplying match kits, the partnership could also open up new commercial opportunities through merchandise sales and broader brand collaborations.

The development comes at a time when Nigerian football stakeholders are placing increased attention on the financial management and commercial sustainability of the country’s national teams.

While further details of the agreement are expected to emerge, the reported partnership could mark a major new chapter for Nigerian football as the federation prepares for a transition to a new kit supplier in 2027.
