The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested Kolapo Oladapo, a prominent real estate executive in Lekki, following a nationwide drug operation.
Oladapo, who had been on the NDLEA’s watchlist since last year, was apprehended at his residence in Ikate, Lekki, on February 12, 2026, shortly after returning from the United Kingdom. During the search, operatives recovered four large bags containing 89.2 kilograms of cannabis, popularly known as ‘Canadian Loud,’ and a 2024 model Toyota Hilux. Oladapo had presented himself as the chairman and CEO of Trans Fortress Global, a real estate company.
The NDLEA stated that Oladapo admitted to operating his own drug distribution network during interrogation. He claimed he became involved in the illicit trade after financing consignments for an overseas associate and earning hundreds of millions of naira in profit, which motivated him to establish an independent distribution operation.
In separate operations, the NDLEA also arrested 35-year-old businesswoman Rabi Muhammad at the Seme land border after she tried to cross into the Benin Republic with a fake pregnancy containing 3,200 tramadol capsules.
Additionally, 41-year-old Ivorian national Michael Gohouri, also known as Anunwa Michael, was detained at Kano International Airport for attempting to fly to Milan, Italy, with 82 wraps of cocaine totaling 1.49 kilograms. Gohouri had ingested the cocaine, but a body scan confirmed the drugs, and he was reportedly promised €5,000 to transport the substances.
These arrests form part of the NDLEA’s ongoing efforts to disrupt drug trafficking networks operating across Nigeria and abroad.
